Nourishment, counted

Food security is joined to schooling and care in the organization’s work, and to the plan it has set for the next five years.

Four national leaders have served as Chief Patron since 1976.

The SUCCESS Program pairs food with education, clothing and healthcare.

The other areas of the work

Five thematic areas, one mission: the welfare of children

Every child empowered through education, protected from exploitation

The organization works to close educational, health and social gaps, to foster children’s talent, and to amplify their voices.
How the work is done

The work, step by step

01
A meal a day

Food is served in the organization’s schools, shelters and child development centers — at least one balanced meal a day.

02
Meals in supported schools

Meals are tailored to children’s dietary needs and cognitive development, helping them learn better and stay in school.

This is where food meets the Education Campaign, and one of the SUCCESS Program’s four areas of support.

03
Food for orphaned and street children

Outreach efforts target homeless, abandoned and orphaned children with consistent access to hot meals and clean drinking water.

The organization provides access to food among the basic necessities it works to ensure for vulnerable children.

04
Emergency food relief

In a crisis the organization distributes dry food packages, ready-to-eat meals and clean water.

05
Community kitchens and food drives

With donors and volunteers, the organization runs mass food drives and temporary kitchens in high-need areas.

06
Nutrition education and food hygiene

Alongside the food itself, children and their caregivers are taught healthy eating, clean water practices and safe food preparation.

The commitment, in the organization’s own words: “fundamental necessities, including food, education, medical facilities, and adequate clothing”.
