Kochi Konther Asar has spent five decades in the practical work of children’s welfare, and its humanitarian teaching grows out of that experience. Here is how the courses work — who they are for, how they are taught, and how to register your interest through our contact page.
Learning humanitarian work with us
Kochi Konther Asar’s teaching in humanitarian work draws on its own practice: child education and health, child rights advocacy and protection, cultural enrichment, environmental action, and social rehabilitation and life skills. What participants study is what the organization does.
How the courses are structured
Each course moves from principle to practice — why children’s welfare is protected the way it is, and what that protection looks like in the day-to-day work of an organization like ours. Ask us about the course you are interested in and we will share its outline.
Who the courses are for
The courses are open to anyone with a serious interest in children’s welfare — students, working professionals, volunteers, and people already serving in community organizations. No prior experience of humanitarian work is assumed.
Teaching methods and assessment
Teaching is grounded in real situations — discussion, case work and guided exercises rather than lectures alone — and progress is reviewed with each participant along the way.
Who teaches
Courses are led by people with long experience of the organization’s own work with children, supported by guest teachers who bring their own fields — education, health, rights and community practice — into the room.
What a certificate represents
Certificates for these courses are issued by Kochi Konther Asar in its own name. They record what you studied and completed with us — and before you enrol, we will tell you plainly what a certificate does and does not carry.
If you need formal recognition
If your study needs to count somewhere else — towards a qualification, a professional requirement or an employer’s records — ask us before you begin, and we will tell you exactly where each course stands.
Cost to participants
We work to keep learning within reach, and we will be clear with you about any costs before you commit to anything. Cost should never be the reason a willing learner stays away.
